The song Samson covered is Summertime by George Gershwin composed in 1935 lyrics written by Dubose Heyward, Ira Grershwin is also co-credited in writing Summertime. Written for Porgy & Bess opera. Their are over 25,000 recordings of the song by such artists as Billy Holiday, Sam Cooke, Rick Nelson, & Sublime one of my personal favourites.
