On December 13 1974 Malta became a Republic
To Celebrate it’s 40th anniversary in Toronto, Ontario Canada, the Maltese Canadians, gathered at Queen's Park to celebrate the occasion with a flag raising ceremony. The ceremony was held on December 15 2015.
This was one of the proudest days as a Canadian,I got to celebrate my Maltese heritage. Seeing the Maltese flag being raised at Queen’s Park made me feel how great it is to be Canadian, a place where all people and nations are expected. Something I include in my own life. As well as celebrating Malta a Island that has overcome the odds throw out it’s history & keep it heritage & it’s culture.
